Unable to pay my bill

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Called up at 3:50pm during what was listed as businesses hours, all I could get was a recorded message. They do not have a well defined contact number, so changing the appointment was impossible, and now expect me to pay a $100 no show cancelation fee. Not really impressed.

Difficult communication

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Trying to get a simple request for medication refill was a nightmare. I used the portal which was recommended.

I was sent a response via the portal a day later but didn't know it because I wasn't contacted to let me know there was a response. I still haven't heard from back if my medication will be refilled.

Inconsistent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Nurse practitioner as well as alledged therapist are with 20 plus years of trauma and accessing every available past resource , incompetent in that one must travel one hour under exceedingly high anxiety to receive 14 pills.

This is absurd and benefits only their liability.

A recent move from ILLINOIS-this is foolery.

Malpractice/ Poor Assessments

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Brian Howard is a monster that is allowed to continue to ruin lives. I have serious concerns regarding the conduct and professionalism of this provider.

He frequently prescribes medication without a clear understanding of my medical history or current condition, often appearing to make decisions without adequate evaluation. He consistently misremembers important details, is late to nearly every appointment, and tends to end sessions abruptly with little engagement. When I attempt to communicate concerns, particularly when I'm experiencing negative reactions to medication, I often receive no response for over 10 days. When he does respond, his only recommendation is to 'go to the ER.' Additionally, he has made dismissive and inaccurate statements such as accusing me of misusing medication without any context or discussion.

Given this pattern of neglect and unprofessional behavior, I question how this provider is still in practice.

I strongly urge you to review this case and investigate further. Patients deserve competent, responsive, and ethical care; this experience has been the opposite.

I have no idea what type of doctor this is. It’s either pain meds, anti-anxiety or ADHD meds.

Some sort of controlled substance. It’s amazing how no one ever complains about their doctor over heart or diabetes meds.

Find another provider. Problem solved.

Being billedfor a no-show

DO NOT USE THEM.

Original review Aug 04, 2025

I met with the therapist for five or 10 minutes. I asked her a question which she declined to answer and that's her right.

However, the question she wouldn't answer was a dealbreaker for me so she canceled the appointment after we spoke.

Now I'm being billed $75 because they said I didn't finish the assessment.

I am paying them my co-pay of $40 and not a cent more. They were also very nasty to me in the portal and on the phone.

Poor Patient Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

For those who care about their mental and behavioral health, I urge you stay away from Lifestance. The providers themselves are capable.

The organization, in my opinion, is mercenary. In my opinion, the well being of the patient is a secondary concern behind making money. In my case, I had completed 5 appointments with a Lifestance provider, when the administrative office decided to pull the rug from out under me and decide that they were either not compensated enough or that they made a mistake (that I should pay for) when they originally decided that I satisfied their reimbursement criteria. Lifestance thereupon dropped me as a patient.

I urged them to accept traditional Medicare reimbursement so that I could continue as a patient. They would have none of that.

After all (in my opinion), there isn't enough money in that! This is a frightening example of the new model of behavioral healthcare where critical decision-making impacting the health and safety of patients is made by MBA's and not health care providers.

I'm on insurance. I pissed drayo off or whatever. Somehow I went from not having any charges to over 8000. 2 we're from 2020?

They change invoices. I have 3 copies of invoices.

They withheld my meds because the paperwork I emailed in, like the lady said, instead of sending it through the document page. I'm filing a grievance! Look further; look at other doctors! Not just me, but social security and my attorney for social security sent in a request for them to send a letter to social security disability.

They never did. Of course, they said they did, but they didn't, causing me to lose the case.

Unwarranted charges/ you owe me money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was early for my appointment, paid my co-pay, and waited in the waiting area for over an hour. There was no staff at the front desk, and other patients were wondering where their counselors were.

A staff member informed me my counselor identified me as a no-show. My counselor never checked the waiting area, and I never left the waiting area. No staff followed up about this; it took over a week to get a hold of someone. They said they would put a 'credit' on my account, and I said I wanted my money refunded.

I also told them I had received two messages stating I'd be charged $50 for the no-show. Guess what happened?

I got drafted $50 the following day! So now they owe me $50, and I'll have to wait 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 weeks to get my money back.

Want to get a message to Janet walker

I dont like the fact that I cannot personally get in touch with a person. Im seeing all I get are recordings, but no contact with the person I wanna talk to.

The portal is not letting me in. I find your method of communication terrible.

I will continue to see my doctor, but I need a way of communicating with her besides the computer. Thank you, Sue Downey.

No one ever called me back

Original review Feb 01, 2025

I was treated by a very rude woman at the Southlake, Texas office. I asked to have her manager call me, and to this day, no one has called.

I feel like they couldn't care less about their patients. This is not the first time she has been rude, and due to her rudeness, I missed my doctor's appointment.

Lifestance Billing Department either not trained or incompetent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Cigna portal to find a dr is how I found lifestance doctors; yet, i have now $5600 unpaid bills. I called lifestance billing and they said 'they see the issue now' - the doctors in question were "contractors" and they will fix the issue.

Note: i have no doubt they will fix the issue, but I also believe with 100pc certainty that they would have happily accepted my $5600.

This has upset me so much, that as of today I have decided to start punishing providers for their billing departments complete and utter incompetence. It should not be my job to get them to work with their partnered in network insurance company.

BILLING!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

Beware! Do not put your credit card on file!

They incorrectly billed me for my first service and took it from my debit card. I have been calling in every week for an update. The first time, they 'reran my benefits' and saw that yes, it was incorrect and that they would get it taken care of. They keep passing me on from department to department, constantly 'sending messages'.

They are a complete joke!

The service providers are great (therapist & psychologist), but unfortunately, I will not continue with this company just for the fact that they cannot fix their error! Bad business!

Screwed over repeatedly

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Three appointments cancelled on me with three separate providers over the course of six weeks. I had to fill out the paperwork three times.

That's three times that I was in the waiting room waiting to hear from them for them to no show or cancel on me typically 10-15 minutes after the scheduled start time. The most recent one was the doctor calling me saying, "I don't know why they let me schedule with you, but I don't see children." So three times I wasn't able to get medication for my child, three times I missed work, three times she missed school. And this doesn't consider the hours I spent filling out the same forms again and again only for their system to lose them. I'm not convinced this is actually a company.

Whatever federal body oversees medical institutions needs to oversee this organization and make it no longer a danger to my children.

Rest assured if any harm comes to my child their grandchildren will need lawyers. I could not be more infuriated with their abject lack of anything resembling professionalism.
